lmao like. talk about “hating allos” all u want, but pls keep in mind that??? sexual attraction is not celebrated when it’s not abled white male heterosexual attraction, and allosexual queer people and poc and women and disabled people are marginalized for exactly the thing you’re making fun of.

too many people grew up thinking they were broken for not feeling sexual attraction, but many more grew up punishing themselves for any ounce of sexuality they couldn’t suppress. and ace discourse that ignores that in its haste to make fun of allosexual people is useless.

Also, as a side note, many abuse & assault survivors experience hyper-sexuality(like me!) as a form of coping and it can be severely harmful and invalidating to hear people make fun of you for that.

In general an allo/ace privilege dynamic is a false dichotomy. Allosexual privilege doesn’t exist otherwise people of color, women, queer people, and disabled people wouldn’t be punished for having sexualities or for having sex. Yelling at people for having sex or sexual desire just contributes to the myriad ways in which these marginalized people get shit on. People are punished for being sexual all the time. People are also punished for not being sexual. Both of these things more or less happen for the same reasons. Everything that the common internet discourse on ace oppression claims comes down to misogyny, racism, homophobia, and ableism and somehow the popular discourse manages to uphold these oppressive dynamics rather than dismantle them.
