There have been posts going around about for some fans think that magic and cultures with magic has been coded as a POC thing. I just want to briefly step in to say that I strongly disagree (and feel a bit icky with this framing).

Magic is a fundamental and defining building
block of all of thedas’s history. All cultures have magic, magic has been in Thedas from the start, all cultures different histories with magic and have come up with different “solutions” for managing it. Economic framing a will get you much further in discussing magic in Thedas.

The Mage-magic-POC framing is tiring and problematic.
