lol right? it’s like, yeah they are violent because of their mental illness but that still doesn’t….excuse…violence???

Both as someone who is mentally ill and struggles with violent urges (that I have thankfully never acted on) and as someone abused by mentally ill people with violent urges I find the whole thing deeply upsetting on a bunch of different levels that I’m not good enough to articulate but like…yeah. Basically I agree with this.
