No one threw trans individuals or sex workers under the bus unless you decided to insinuate on your own grounds that rehabilitating sex workers out of a trade that trafficks and prostitutes women and children’s bodies is somehow “throwing them under the bus” or integrating vulnerable trans people into a social movement is “throwing them under the bus.” If you think that self choice into a trade that is a predominantly coerced one is somehow an autonomous choice and speaks for everyone else, you’re a liberal with a middle class view and entitlement of the world and that’s part of the problem. If you think that bringing trans individuals—who are systematically violently disenfranchised and unprotected people under neoliberal order—into a movement that protects and nurtures them is “throwing them under the bus” then you are not only the liberal here but also the transphobe.
