O-oh, I can’t believe the premier Zevran stan is in my inbox.
what I like: Morrigan seems to have complete understanding and ownership of who and what she is. (On a lore level, I feel like this would be pretty necessary for a shape changer.) I also especially adore her regard for a female Warden and the maternal feelings present if she has Kieran in Inquisition.
what I dislike: For someone who likes to think of herself as a free and ruthless mage unencumbered by Chantry foolishness, Morrigan can be surprisingly unpragmatic and let her ideals (that’s what they are, even if they aren’t Andrastian) get in the way of her understanding. I would probably be less annoyed by this if she demonstrated an iota of self awareness about it.
favorite moment: Without a doubt, her “like a sister” speech to a F!Warden who has befriended her. Liek if u cri everytiem :(
least favorite moment: Morrigan’s refusal to take anyone but a romanced Warden through the mirror. Considering I thought the full friendship path was a lot better done than her romance, it was a real disappointment. My warden romanced Alistair but Morrigan was her sister. She would have followed her anywhere.
a situation I want to see explored more: Female warden + Morrigan + Kieran family!
an interesting AU for this character: For some reason the idea of 11 year old Morrigan, the very surly hedge witch from rural Scotland showing up at Hogwarts just crossed my mind and it’s too cute. Not interesting, maybe, but cute.
a crossover: Oh no I accidentally just did this. Hmm. I would love to see Morrigan as an adept in the world of the Coldfire trilogy, specifically to see her interacting with both Ciani and Gerald Tarrant. I’d be really interested to see how they get along! I think Tarrant might remind her too much of Flemeth for her to really like or trust him, but she might appreciate his work on an intellectual level? And I think she and Ciani could run a mean business together.
OTP: I have a special weakness in my heart for Morrigan/Leliana. ‘Tis shameful, I know.
brotp: Morrigan/my Warden. I would ship them romantically but their friendship is almost better imo. Maybe if I liked the writing in Morrigan’s romance path better that would change.
notp: Morrigan/m!Wardens. Sorry everyone.
assorted headcanons: Lesbian asexual Morrigan is my favorite Morrigan. My canon warden Ellorian’s one beauty is her very long very thick black hair and it’s one of my dearest headcanons that Morrigan would braid and brush it for her at camp after they became friends. When her hair burned off in the Archedemon’s fire Ellorian wasn’t sure if she missed it for itself or because of the memories that were now all she had left.
